Life is better than death. Love; greater than either…

The health of things…

OK, so here we are in the glorious of 2008 where everything’s supposed to be prosperous (read 08/08/08.) and what happens? Petrol prices skyrocket. Yes it does and everyone’s pretty tired about it by now really. It doesn’t really directly affect me that much cause I don’t drive a lot and even if I do, I drive an small car environmentally vehicle.

Anyway, things are gonna get more expensive, house prices are always gonna go up and the cost of living is always on an uphill slope until inflation is under control and the rich do not spend that much on unnecessary things. But the middle-class measuring needle is also always almost on an upward ramp and that slaps the poor smack bang centre on the slippery slope to nowhere. However, all is not lost… (Read ‘The Pursuit of Happyness’).

For all that I’ve been comparing and thinking, at the end of the day, what matters is your health, your own body and the health of things around you that counts. The health of your relationship with your friends, your family, God… Your colleagues. The health of your mind, your spirit, your soul. The uncluttered feeling of inner peace cause after all, healthy things grow.

And its crazy, I’ve got a few people in my life now who are going through some sort of sickness in their body and sometimes its all they can think about. Sure, they try to lead a normal life but the thing is, you can’t escape from it. You can’t budget for it, you can’t mortgage it, you can’t consolidate it, you can’t ‘tighten your belt’ cause it is your body. It is out of your control yet you have to live with it.

And I think its becoming a trend seeing ‘rich’ people dying of sickness… No one is invincible. No one is excepted.

So I guess, stop complaining, suck it in and get a life thermometer to gauge the health of things…

God bless!
