Life is better than death. Love; greater than either…

Why read the Bible?

So Robert Fergusson addressed the issue of us ‘modern Christians’ not reading the Bible enough. Apparently the Catholic church is also on a similar campaign.

Anyway, a few things struck me. Jesus read the Bible, He quoted the Bible left, right, centre; when He was in temptation, when He wants to validate His authority and when He wanted to fulfill prophecies.

Jesus; the Son of God, the Saviour and our King, the Prince of Peace… The ruler of Heaven and Earth… read the Bible. O_O!

And we have the Bible in our hands! How amazing?

Another thing Robert talked about was not to read the Bible like a tourist, ticking off chapters, methodically climbing on to the ‘tour bus’ but rather read it like an explorer, finding the God behind it…

Here’s to a great week ahead!

God bless!
