Life is better than death. Love; greater than either…

I’ve just realised that I’ve not posted something ‘bimbotic’ and diarylike in a long time.

OK, here we go…

Got up today to extreme heat even though my fan was turned on to its maximum capacity. Actually it’s Nathan’s HomeMaker fan but he’s not here yet so yeah… On loan! One of my purchases on eBay last week arrived and woke me up and I tried it on for size. Then went online and chatted with a few friends and then realized it was time to go for my yumcha session! Fed my fish, showered and then headed off the door into the day. It wasn’t as hot as I thought it would be (it was only like 10:45am) and then the wretched Sydney winds attacked my freshly waxed hair. Anyone who puts product in their hair knows that it takes a few minutes to set and this has not happened when the wind chose to attack my crown of black. Re-arranged it in the safety of a windless hallway and proceeded to Chatswood…

The drive was more pleasant than I expected (read this for an example of an UNPLEASANT drive) and I managed to park (with the help of carspace computer systems) with minimal hassle. We went to Kam Fook and had a meal of a time! We then walked around the shopping centre and went over to Chatswood Chase to idle the time away. It seems like everything is on sale yet no one’s buying anything. I bought Captivating, Evolution vs. Intelligent Designs and a AUD1 soft toy! Got a message saying my other eBay purchase arrived home. Great! Nothing like giving yourself presents!

After Chatswood we headed to Birkenhead Point to check out more petshops and stuff. I bought a Men vs. Woman jokebook for AUD4 and reinforced my human stereotypes in the form of visual, audio and kinesthetic in a book that I thumbed through but not buy.

We wanted to go to Ikea after this and proceeded to Paramatta Road. The jam was long, the weather was hot and my tank was empty. We headed to Glebe instead. After glasses of blended drinks, I headed to Bi-Lo; bought some steaks and corn to cook and finished the mall trip off with the purchase of the January 2009 National Geographic magazine. I then dropped Andrew off to get Clem’s and nearly got into an accident (not my fault, Andrew can attest to that as ‘his life flashed before his eyes’) but did dent my car a little bit at Broadway a few hours before… GAH!!! Damn Sydney wind!

Anyway, got home, searched for a couple of things online, marinated my meats, steamed the corn and cooked the steak on low heat 3 minutes on each side. It was (medium rare) perfect! I think not freezing and thawing your meat makes a huge difference! One, the marinade seeps into the meat faster and deeper and two, it just cooks better.

Topped the meal off with some ice water and a final check on the fish before hibernating in my room. Think I’m gonna get a glass of orange juice on ice now, fire up the Skype for the gf and then finish off the night with a good book or some good jokes…

Tomorrow these activities are still up in the air…
1) Exercise a new marketing idea I have
2) Visit the Sydney Museum
3) Visit the Australian Museum
4) Take pictures of the crowds heading out to Big Day Out
5) Set up a plant only tank

Heck I just might have time to do ALL of them…

Till tomorrow!

God bless!

Terrific Thursday?

So, I’ve been scouting for this thing for sometime now and I finally gave in yesterday…

Was looking on eBay (good ol’ eBay) for it and then found this online shop. Called them up, they said they do pick-up and three hours later, I found this sitting on my desk.

It. Is. So. Freaking. Good. (and big! hehe A little 50c coin is at the base for your reference :D)

I regretted I putted it off till so late to acquire. My old monitor was just starting to get blurry after a few hours and Photoshop turned into a muddle of colours after a few hours. Ha… OK, I exagerrate. But for someone as visual as me (well, I can be but I don’t think I’m as visual as some people), the LCD is awesome!

And since it is getting colder as well, I invested in a merino sweater too! $40 off RRP!

I’m gonna tie a little ribbon knot round my neck with those strings… Or just CUT them off… wuahaha!

God bless!

Woo-huh!

What a crazy day today! Rainy again of course… I love it! Managed to buy a few Christmas presents too!

I’d never thought of buying presents for people during Christmas or their birthdays. But I’ve come to realise that giving presents is quite an exciting experience. Its not just the smile you see on their faces or the (hopefully) presents you get back but its also the hush and the rush (together!) that makes it exciting.

You run around shopping malls (praying ever so hardly) that you don’t meet the person you’re buying the gift for. (*bump* Hey, what you getting bro? Ermm ermmm… nothing? hehe) And then the MAJOR MAJOR thinking of what gifts suit this person or that person. Whether they will like it or not yada yada yada…

And then it hit me… (somewhere between the Level 2 Charity Gift Wrapping Station and the Level 3 lingerie section)…
The next few days are gonna be the last few days I have to get those presents!!!
And the wrapping paper, and the cards… Man…

I wished I’d planned earlier. So many bargains on eBay and ShopBot and all the other fantastic online shopping sites… The thing with online stores is; you gotta wait… And I don’t feel like waiting 2 weeks to save like 20 dollars or something… It’s just so tempting to grab it in the shops! Don’t you feel that way?

Ah well… 3 presents down; dunno how many more to go… I’ve got a list… and checking it more than two times baby…

God bless!

I was always chasing stuff… It was the bicycle when I was in primary school… Then rollerblades… Then the modifications for the bicycle… Then it was a football… Then it was a computer… Then the CD-ROM drive… Then this then that…

I thought I grew out of wanting things then it was a car… Then it was the modifications for the car… Then it was the adidas shoe… Then it was the diamond knitwear, then ANY knitwear… Then jeans… Then at this very moment in time… K.Lo is craving for a cowhide bag…

You see those stools and the pillows? My gosh! I would kill to get a leather bag made from these!!! I did a search on google AND ebay and found nothing! I remembered seeing it somewhere though! Gaaah!

Show me the path to take… 😛

God bless!

Hey hey hey everyone!

Went out today for an accidental bout of shopping with James. Actually it was planned at the back of my mind for some time but today was the day. It was the day to put my dreams aside and actually make them come true. Haha!

And came true they did.

Got these pair of shoes at Birkenhead Point.

It all started when I brought my mom to Birkenhead Point (warehouse shopping mall) few weeks ago when she was here. Then both her and I saw this wonderful, elegant pair of shoes. The shoes were going for quite cheap and I fell in love but hesitated. Today, the hesistation, egged on by TheJames, was gone.

Rear view of the said new shoes.

The shoes were the 2nd item I bought today.

Marcs had a wonderful sale going on and I finally bought a jacket I wanted for so long. Obviously, it wasn't going for AUD250, it was slashed substantially lower than that. And because it was cut down, I bought it. Muahahaha!

So there ends the adventures of my day… A day that may have repercussions or not. A day which much wisdom and foresight is needed. A need which has been satisfied. A satisfaction which is guaranteed. A guarantee that is worthless to some. And to some a breeze in the wind.

God bless!

P.S. This entry has been written intentionally with a technique I learnt in class! So exciting! If you care to realise, every sentence is intentionally linked to the next one. Except one or two sentences where linking it would sound very weird! Haha!

Tell me if it increased your readability! Got two more techniques to test out but I think I'll reserve that for my last assignment of the semester! haha!

Ciao!
